As a writer, a teacher, and as an editor, I am hoping to connect with kindred spirits through this website. It’s also my way to stay in touch with my students, past and present, and with writing colleagues, agents and editors. I want to know what you are doing, what you are writing and publishing, and wish to keep you informed of my own doings.

NEWS TO SHARE:

My memoir, Only You, was published as a second edition in April 2019 by Brown Posey Press, an imprint of Sunbury Press. The book was originally published in April 2014 by Oak Tree Press.

Workshops

Our new writing workshop will begin on Wednesday, January 11, from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton. After three years of Covid, we will be back there. The class is full; the next workshop at the library will begin in May.

Teaching Schedule:

On Tuesday, July 11, from 5-7 p.m. we’ll hold classes in memoir and personal essay at the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton. The six-week series ends on August 15 and is open to all, with a class limit of 10. The fee is $75, and you can register by calling 631-537-0015.

Our memoir writing workshop will return on Thursday, July 20, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Connetquot Library in Bohemia. This four-week summer series will end on August 10. Classes are for area residents only, with a class limit of 12, and there is no fee. Call
